- We are all ambassadors and teammates for the Saint Andrews Paddling Club and maintain high standards of moral and ethical conduct.
- We treat others with respect and dignity in support of their dignity and well-being, and expect to be treated likewise in return.
- We respect the people who have taken on positions of responsibility in the Club including coaches, steerers, captain, board members and assigned leaders. We remember that they are volunteers working toward the success of the Club.
- We demonstrate a high level of sportsmanship, and the generally accepted standards of fair play.
- We respect other paddlers and their skills, regardless of their experience.
- We play by the rules.
- We do not possess or use any mind-altering drugs, legal or otherwise, during any activity associated with SAPC.
- We refrain from using profane, insulting or otherwise offensive language.
- We control our tempers, and refrain from abusive behaviour towards others, whether or not they are members of our club.
- We recognize that verbal or physical behaviour that constitutes harassment or abuse is unacceptable. We recognize that we have a responsibility to address behaviour that we find harassing or abusive directly with the person causing discomfort, with the coach, or with a board member. Incidents of harassment will be handled according to Dragon Boat Canada Harassment definitions and protocol.
